Water Plan 2008-2013
Gippsland Water is required to develop a water plan as part of its Statement of Obligations, which is issued by the Minister for Water, Environment and Climate Change. It specifically addressed proposed service outcomes and obligations, the operational and capital expenditure required to deliver those outcomes and obligations, and the proposed tariffs required to generate sufficient revenue to fund those outcomes for the regulatory period.
Gippsland Water released its draft Water Plan 2008-2013 in late July 2007 to its various regulators and the public for comment and feedback. The final plan incorporating the feedback was submitted to the Essential Services Commission (ESC),
Victoria 's economic regulator of prescribed essential utility services on Monday 8 October 2007.
The Essential Services Commission undertook a review of
Gippsland Water ’s Water Plan 2008-2013 and released its own draft decision on 28 March 2008 which was also open to the public for comment.
